Chris Deason

Data Specialist

Chris Deason is the Data Specialist at Keyway. Since joining the team in September 2024, Chris has been responsible for submitting participant program data to St. Louis City's Office of Violence and Prevention. In June 2025, she expanded her role to include monthly billing operations under Keyway’s contracts supporting participants with substance use histories.

Chris is no stranger to the Keyway mission. From 2004 to 2007, she served as a volunteer mentor with the Center for Women in Transition, Keyway’s predecessor. In 2007, she joined the Center as a full-time employee and served as its Mentor Coordinator and Program Coordinator until 2014. After leaving the Center, Chris continued her commitment to service through various roles in nonprofit administration, bringing a deep understanding of program coordination, data integrity, and community impact.

Chris holds a Master of Social Work from St. Louis University and a degree in Business Administration from Fontbonne University.
