Proudly presented by McCarthy Holdings Inc.

ST. LOUIS Keyway Center for Diversion & Reentry, formerly known as the Center for Women in Transition, announced today details for their highly anticipated biennial gala, “A Million Dreams.” Considered by many to be one of St. Louis’ leading nonprofits advocating for and assisting justice-involved women, Keyway’s one-night-only event, Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 6 p.m. at the River City Event Center, shines a spotlight on the organization’s commitment to empowering women transitioning from incarceration to community. “A Million Dreams” is proudly presented by McCarthy Holdings, Inc. and hosted by KSDK Show Me St. Louis’ Mary Caltrider.

“Helping to build a stronger St. Louis is at the heart of the work we do,” said McCarthy Holdings, Inc. Director Melissa Lawson, who also serves as chair of the firm’s Corporate Heart Hats community outreach committee. “When we work together, we can truly impact lives. McCarthy is proud to support the impactful work Keyway does to assist women in our community and are looking forward to an incredible evening.”

“Every two years, we have the honor of hosting a magical evening of celebration, advocacy and community,” shared Keyway Executive Director April Foster. “This year, the stage is set for our biggest gala yet – ‘A Million Dreams.’ We could not be more thankful to McCarthy Holdings, Inc. for their generous support. With their sponsorship, our team has truly been able to go above and beyond to make this night memorable, and, more importantly, profoundly impactful.”

Just like the song “A Million Dreams” from The Greatest Showman, Keyway is dedicated to thinking about what the world could be, and the endless dreams each of us can make come true, when we work together. Centered on four critical areas of need, including housing stability, financial security, emotional wellness and community reengagement, Keyway’s services are vital for St. Louis’ justice-involved women and their families. “A Million Dreams” is a heartfelt salute to the nonprofit’s nearly 30 years of service and an inspiring promise to its next 30.

“I have been with Keyway for over 4 years, and this night is always one of my favorites,” said Keyway Board President Timothy Burgess. “Not only do we get to gather to celebrate two years of incredible advocacy and assistance for justice-involved women here in St. Louis, but we also get to share the vital need for Keyway and our services within our communities. That is what really makes the night more than just a gala.”
