LOUIS (Feb. 5, 2026) – Keyway Center for Diversion & Reentry announced today that Patty Prewitt, who was recently granted clemency after nearly 40 years, will serve as the keynote speaker for its annual gala, “Catalyst for Change,” and criminal justice reform advocate Katie Sinquefield will be honored as this year’s Community Impact Award recipient. Tickets for “Catalyst for Change,” Keyway’s annual gala, March 7, 2026, at the River City Event Center, are on sale now until Feb. 23, and can be purchased at keywaycenter.org/events. “Support for reentry and integration into society is crucial for a successful beginning to freedom. During my decades of incarceration, I saw many good women fail because we cannot do this alone,” shared Patty Prewitt, Keyway’s 2026 Keynote Speaker. “Keyway provides a safe community, and only in a positive community can anyone find success after prison. Keyway saves lives!”
“When I was contacted about receiving the Community Impact Award, I was humbled and grateful, and, honestly, felt a little unworthy,” said Katie Sinquefield, Keyway’s 2026 Community Impact Award recipient. “However, I decided to accept this award and hope it will create more attention for the cause and for Keyway. Keyway’s mission to help people in the criminal justice system, specifically women, is a cause dear to my heart and my personal mission.”
“Patty and Katie are catalysts for change in different but deeply meaningful ways—one through lived experience, the other through advocacy and reform,” said April Foster, Keyway Executive Director. “Keyway exists to carry that change forward, surrounding justice-impacted women with housing stability, emotional wellness, financial security, and community connection.”
